Luca Bedogni

Luca Bedogni is Associate Professor at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy.
His research interests include:
- Internet of Things (IoT): Architectures for heterogeneous devices and data management.
- Edge-Cloud Continuum & Fluid Computing: Strategies for distributing computation and intelligence.
- Digital Twins: Modeling and managing human and machine entities.
- Split Computing & Privacy-Aware AI: Enabling intelligent inference on resource-constrained devices.
- Mobile Computing: Context-aware systems and performance analysis.
He received his Bachelor Degree and Master Degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Computer Science from the University of Bologna, Italy. In 2015, he received the PhD degree from the University of Bologna, with the additional title of “Doctor Europeaus”.
In 2013, he was a visiting researcher at the RWTH Aachen university, working under the supervision of Prof. Petri Mähönen. In 2017, he was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Irvine, working with Prof. Marco Levorato.
